The Library is the information hub of Eastwood Heights Public School with resources available for both staff and students. Children have access to a range of fiction and nonfiction books, a network of 30 computers in the computer lab, an electronic whiteboard and an interactive panel to enhance their learning.
Students are supported in developing information and digital fluency skills. We guide students through Fiction and Non-Fiction selection, referencing for bibliographies, understanding the rules related to copy right by avoiding plagiarism, research skills and evaluating websites and information.
We encourage students to read for pleasure by using our range of print. The non-fiction collection and our online encyclopedia called World Book Online, provides students and teachers with resources that have been carefully selected to support the curriculum and to encourage self- directed learning. The library catalogue is available via the internet and can be accessed from any computer at school or home.
